Origin Macadamia Nuts
The Macadamia nut originally comes from Australia and is named after the chemist, and also physician, John Macadam. In Australia they have been using the nut since time immemorial, but it was not until 1828, when Allan Cunningham discovered the nut, that the nut spread all over the world. Because the nut originally comes from Australia, the nut is also called 'Queensland nuts'.
