Native to Europe and West Asia: The Common Hazelnut (Corylus avellana)
The Common Hazelnut, native to Europe and West Asia, is a commonly used plant for hedges and enclosures in England. But the main reason people across Europe and West Asia cultivate hazel is for its nuts.
Where do I purchase organic hazelnuts?
The hazelnut, like many other nuts, is rich in proteins and unsaturated fats. Moreover, hazelnuts contain significant amounts of manganese, copper, vitamin E, thiamin, and magnesium. These hazelnuts are organically grown in Turkey.
Premium Hazelnut Pieces 2-4 mm Roasted Organic
The shells of these hazelnuts have been removed, along with the thin brown outer skin of the nuts. The nuts themselves are roasted and then ground into pieces ranging from 2 to 4 mm in size. This hazelnut granulate is ideal as a garnish for ice cream, cakes, and other baked goods. It is also an excellent ingredient in chocolate bars and muesli bars. Try it also in a salad.
