Origin of Halite Salt
The mineral Halite was formed millions of years ago by the evaporation of sea water. In the course of the centuries, the deposited salt layer was compressed into a packet of stone. Our cubic halite salt is a rock salt and comes from Pakistan. Halite consists of salt and many additional minerals and trace elements. Halite salt is the diamond among salts and is crystal clear. This salt has a sodium chloride content of up to 99.8%.
Use
The name of halite comes from the Greek word 'hals' which means seawater, salt. Among the Romans, salt was a very precious commodity and it was used as a seasoning, but also as a cosmetic.
Where do I purchase halite salt?
Halite salt is unrefined. This means that the salt still has all its good qualities. It is full of minerals and no additives have been added. Halite salt is therefore particularly suitable for use as a household spice salt and as a luxury salt in the kitchen. In addition, it can be added to the salt mill with dried herbs to taste.
