The taste of German rock salt
This product has a very pleasant salty taste and it is very suitable for use on all kinds of dishes. German rock salt is, like all salts, hygroscopic in nature. In short, it means that salt attracts water. So keep it in a dry place.
Origin and use of German rock salt
This natural rock salt was formed more than 200 million years ago by the drying out of the Zechstein Sea. This sea was a shallow inland sea that stretched across north-western Europe. Today, the salt is stored 400 to 750 metres under the ground and contains numerous minerals and bound iodine. It is a natural product that is only ground and sieved.
